Frontiers in Materials Science and Engineering
(FMSE)

February 13-15, 2024
American University of Sharjah-UAE

The American University of Sharjah (AUS) is proud to host The international conference Frontiers in Materials Science and Engineering (FMSE), which will be held between 13-15 February, 2024. The conference is designed to bring together leading scientists and engineers from around the world to meet at AUS to exchange the latest ‘frontiers’ developments in the various dynamic fields of materials science and engineering and their relevant technologies. The conference will provide ample opportunity to have electrifying discussions and debates on rising research trends that range from the fundamentals of materials science to finding solutions for sustainability, surface engineering, 3D printing,  as well as in developing intelligent materials, and advanced composites with enhanced characteristic. The conference aims at promoting regional and international collaborations between academics and relevant government and industry stakeholders.

The international conference Frontiers in Materials Science and Engineering (FMSE) will be held on the campus of American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates The American University of Sharjah (AUS) was founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of Sharjah, who envisioned the university as a leading educational institution in the Gulf region. AUS is an independent, non-profit coeducational institution. AUS is a leading comprehensive coeducational university in the Gulf, serving students from the region and around the world. The weather in the UAE during the month of February is very nice with an average temperature of 23 degrees Celsius. Sharjah, a 20 minute drive from the City of Dubai, is a city of learning and the arts, as confirmed by it being named the 2014 Capital of Islamic Culture for the Arab Region and the 1998 UNESCO Cultural Capital of the Arab World. This context facilitates the university's intention to be an academic center at the intersection of ancient cultural traditions and contemporary intellectual currents. The city of Sharjah is home to more than 20 museums with splendid collections of artifacts and art as well as exhibits on science and natural history. Sharjah also hosts many cultural festivals, educational conferences, fairs and economic expositions. These resources permit the university to broaden students' formal education in a way not possible elsewhere in the region.
